Fontanafredda is located in Serralunga d’Alba, a world of hills with ancient origins which has always had a vocation for the production of great wines, particularly Barolo.
The Estate was founded in 1878 by Count Emanuele Guerrieri of Mirafiore, son of the king of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, and Countess Contessa Rosa di Mirafiore. It occupies 110 hectares of land, 85 of which are used for the specialised cultivation of Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera and Moscato grapes. Fontanafredda has an active structure dedicated to welcoming tourists and offering excellent hospitality.

The tour of the nineteenth century cellars, where the great wines of Piedmont age, offering visitors the chance to see all the majesty that makes these cellars so surprisingly beautiful, so much so that they are considered to be among the 100 most beautiful wine cellars in the world. Tastings and shopping in the Wine Shop, which sells the still and sparkling wines of Fontanafredda, as well as the food and wine products proposed by the estates and cellars affiliated to Eataly’s Vino Libero project.
